The Banquet

The Banquet

It is very easy to move on to the next season preparation after the year end banquet without taking a moment to thank the businesses and individuals that made a significant contribution to the success of the event. Some were acknowledged on the day of the event but not all. Our thanks to Todd Minicola for the lighting and on stage special effects; Mike Soo for once again supplying the sound system for the banquet; Chris and Colin Wilson at A World of Rentals for the front of stage scaffolding; Mulrooney Trucking for the CO2 tank used for the fog generation; Bridget Walker Payne of Desjardins Insurance for the stage props; our on stage dancers for the opening – Korra, Emmitt and one unknown dancer; our ticket and merchandise sellers Susan, Mary, Lisa, Sarah, and Nancy; our ticket separators Jenn and Nora; Walter and Joe DaCosta and an anonymous donor for the Kingston Frontenacs Tickets; anonymous donors for the Toronto Raptors and Harlem Globetrotters Tickets; Mr. Jackets, PrimeTime Marketing, The Queen’s Campus Bookstore, and Rabbit Express for prizes; Mr Gilbert for his work acquiring prizes; Chris Payne for his stage management; Doug Jeffries and Mark Potter for being our Masters of Ceremony again this year; the presenters that gave up their Sunday to be a part of something special; Mary O’Neil Howlett and McDonalds Family Restaurants for the coffee service; Camera Kingston for the projector used in the opening and slide show; Maple Leaf Foods Ben Murphy for donating hot dogs along with anonymous donors; Grant’s No Frills for donating the hot dog buns; Pepsi for the drinks; and last but certainly not least, the MANY volunteers that helped with set up, clean up, food preparation and distribution. As you can see, the season, and especially the banquet does not happen without everyone from our league family doing what they can to help. IT IS APPRECIATED!
