Just For The Fun Of It

The annual league golf tournament will be held on Friday July 5, 2013 at the Inverary Golf and Country Club. Play starts at 8 am. Cost for the day is $95, which includes green fees, a cart (for two players), a full course steak or chicken dinner, and a prize table. All proceeds from the event go to the Knights of Columbus Basketball League. To register, please contact Rick Hollywood at 613 539-6765 or you can register at the club. Teams must be confirmed by June 23, 2013. This is always a fun event to support the league.

The Big Brothers / Big Sisters Bowl For Kids Sake event is coming up in March. This very worthwhile and fun event is one that we encourage everyone to support either through donations or through participation by entering a team. See the details below, and enter a team if you are interested.

Please support Big Brothers Big Sisters Kingston by participating in this year’s ‘Bowl for Kids Sake’ event March 23rd at Prost Bowling. Big Brothers Big Sisters Kingston provides mentorship to children aged 6-16 who reside in our local community. We are a non-government funded organization so we depend on the support of the community to provide our services. The 58th Annual Awards Banquet and Hot Dog Feast will take place this year on Sunday March 3 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish Hall (off Division Street beside Performance Imports). The doors to the hall will open at noon and we ask that everyone be there no later than 12:30. Everyone is welcome to attend this very special celebration of the season. In past years we have been finished shortly after 3 pm.
