Coach Kevin Smart and the St. Lawrence College Surge Men’s Basketball Team are hosting two free “Skills and Drills” clinics for our players on Saturday November 5. The first session for our Little Gals and Little Guys players will be from 5-6 pm, followed by a second one hour session for our Biddy, Girls and Graduate Division players. Since space is limited to 30 players per session we will ask that you register at games this week or through Facebook messenger to hold your spot.

Access to the gym is best through area E 39, accessed off Country Club Drive. Parking is also available in this area.

Our thanks to coach Smart and his players for taking the time to work with our players to improve their skills and introduce themselves to our players.

As we return to more normal operations after so long away, and with so many new families joining our league family we felt it appropriate to remind all spectators of their role in making our program a success. Friday November 4 the RCHA Brigade Association is hosting a fund raising evening of music by the band Hat Trick in support of the Pete Petersen Basketball League. From 8-11 pm you will be entertained by the vocalizations of Michael K Myers, the amazing guitar playing of Dan Charbonneau, and the drumming of Mark Ready.

If an evening out to hear great music is not enough incentive, door prizes for the event have been donated to us as well. Zoe Yanovsky and Chez Piggy have donated two dinner for two gift certificates, Virg Allegrini and Pasta Genova have donated three gift certificates and Herman Kaur, a local artist, has donated an original art piece from her collection.

Tickets are available from Roland Billings on game nights this week, or can be reserved through Facebook messenger or by email at roland.billings@sympatico.ca.

To this point ticket sales have been very disappointing. We encourage parents and league supporters to support this event that can be a significant fund raising opportunity for the league.
