I am happy to report that the Sneaker Draw 2025 has sold out! Our thanks to the ticket sellers at registration, Lynne Mason at the Graduate Division and the canteen staff at St. Francis of Assisi for leading the charge this season to make the sell out a reality. The draw will take place on Tuesday November 25 at 7:30. Good luck to all who purchased tickets!

Saturday night at the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Brigade Association we held our fourth Annual fund raising event and it was a great evening of great music, lots of laughter, and fun.

With proceeds from ticket sales and donations a total of $1060 came back to our program. Our thanks to all who attended to help us out.

Our thanks to the band Hat Trick – Michael K Myers, Dan Charbonneau and Mark Ready for another great performance in support of what we do. You are all amazing performers and true professionals. Hat Trick will also be playing at the RCHA New Year’s Eve if you want to experience a great way to ring in 2026.

To the Pilot House, Acme Sport and Promotion , Gord Stewart and anonymous donors of door prizes. We know you have choices to make when you decide where your donation allocations go. Thank you for believing in us.

A very special thank you to Frank and Susan Warnica and the Brigade Association leadership for once again making this event happen. Your unwavering support for this event helps us continue to bring safe and affordable basketball to 474 players on 38 teams each season.

To the attendees last night, the members of Hat Trick, door prize donors, the Warnicas and the RCHA Leadership – you are difference makers and for that we are very grateful. THANK YOU! Roland

For everyone that ordered clothing through our on line store portal with Acme Sport and Promotion, the orders are complete, and you should have received an email confirmation to pick up your clothing.

We can’t thank George Merjevac and his staff enough for working with us to set up the store, and then ensuring the orders were completed in a timely fashion.

For those of you that ordered clothing through the store, thank you for your support of this new initiative. For those of you that forgot to place an order- GOOD NEWS- the on line store will be open again in January for the first two weeks we are back.

We are at a point in the season where we continue to bring players on to teams from our waiting lists to replace others that have conflicts that have caused them to stop playing with us. Because of that player movement, there is a need to move players within the divisions to balance the teams. We do this to make the games a more enjoyable and positive experience for all of the players involved in our program. This is not new, and it is something that we informed everyone about before the season started.

As parents and caregivers we expect your understanding that it will be necessary for your player to switch teams, and to help them, along with our leadership group, transition to the new team.

These moves are done with the best interest of all players involved in the league , and we remind you that the coaches involved are all volunteers and are not the drivers of these decisions, so they should not be approached directly in an attempt to change the decision made by our leadership.
