Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board Director David DeSantis is retiring from a lifetime in education, and last night we recognized that milestone, and the positive impact he has had on the lives of our players and their families during his seven years with the ALCDSB.
From the first day we met and spoke about the league, our shared values and the difference we make in children’s lives, David was fully committed to supporting what we do, and he has never wavered in that commitment.
Our partnership with the school board throughout the 71 years we have existed, has allowed us to operate as Don Petersen intended – giving the children of the community a safe and affordable place to learn the importance of being on a team, and how much fun our sport can be.
We wish David and his wife much joy and safe travels in retirement, secure in the knowledge you are a difference maker. Congratulations and thank you from all of us involved with the Pete Petersen Basketball League!
