This week we received a significant donation from the United Steelworkers of America local 343. For many years now this local of the USW has supported us with an annual donation and their commitment to us and to the community is greatly appreciated. Today we received a VERY significant donation to the league from LiUNA )Labourers International Union of North America) Local 183 for our program. We have several families from the local involved in the league, and we want to thank all of them, but especially Gord Griffen for spearheading this initiative, and to Debbie Fernandes, the Executive Assistant to Business Manager Jack Oliveira for following through on the request. Thank you for believing in what we do in the community. You have made a difference in the lives of the children that play in our league this year.

League touques remain on sale for $15 through the canteen while quantities last. Graduate Division players – if you are interested in purchasing one please see Pat or Doreen and we will get your order sent over to Cathedral. Any league alumni out there reading this, they are a great way to keep warm and remember winter nights in Pete’s gym!
