Thank You St. Lawrence College!

Our thanks to the St. Lawrence College leadership, players, coaches and students for inviting us to the grand opening of their new gym last night, and for welcoming our basketball league families into the new home of the Vikings. Even though the games did not have the desired outcome, both were exciting in different ways and the facility is beautiful! We will post the remaining SLC Home Schedule here and on the web site in a few minutes so the new fans of the teams can continue to support them in their new home.

St. Lawrence College New Gym Opening

Don’t forget that the new gym at SLC opens today and we are all invited! The Vikings take on the Centennial College Colts with the women’s team playing at 3:30 and the men’s game at 5:30 with FREE admission for our players and their families. There will be FREE hot dogs between games and lots of give away chances. Don’t miss this chance to see exciting OCAA basketball and support a group that has always supported us. A reminder to use public transit to get to the game if possible, and use the main entrance to the college off Portsmouth Avenue to get to the new gym.

East Side Mario’s Event November 18

What a great day and night at East Side Mario’s on Weller Avenue yesterday! Our thanks to the management and staff for their hard work and commitment to making this a very successful event. There were birthday celebrations, work lunches, and lots of people that did not know about the “cause” but that were happy to learn about our league and contribute to our future success. Most of all, thank you to the families and other loyal community supporters that came out on a frigid nice to make a difference in the lives of the children in our league. Thanks to all of you, and to the East Side Mario’s Family for believing in what we do! We will post the totals as soon as we have them available, but as you can tell from the smiles in the photos posted on Facebook, it was another fun event.
