St Lawrence College

Tonight the SLC Women’s and Men’s basketball teams begin the regular season with a home double header against the Centennial College Colts. Game time for the women is 6 pm and the men play at 8.

Tomorrow the teams play host to Georgian with 1 and 3 pm start times.

Don’t pass up the opportunity to see exciting basketball and support the players that so willingly gave up their time to work with you in September at the shooting clinics.

Five Guys Event Update

We had another hugely successful fund raising event at Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Gardiners Road tonight thanks to all of our loyal supporters and the staff at the restaurant that did an outstanding job all evening hustling the service and keeping the whole place clean non stop. I will post the totals once they are available but here are some key highlights:

The restaurant set a new record for sales in one hour tonight, breaking the old record set when we were in for a fund raiser last season.

The staff got together and has agreed to donate all of their cash tips from this evening to the basketball league. They even asked if we could come tomorrow to collect it in case more was added between the time our event ended and closing.

Several supporters made personal donations to the league at the event that we will include in the total when I post that later.

Our thanks to all of you that came out or worked at Five Guys tonight. Your generosity and support has made a difference in the lives of the children in our program and for that we are grateful. To see some photo memories memories from the event visit our Facebook page!
