We want to thank everyone for supporting the Sneaker Draw this year. The last of the tickets were sold Monday night, and the draw is scheduled for November 29th at 7:30.

As with the last action, we will inform everyone when we have facts and notification from the ALCDSB in the coming days as to how this could affect our program. As we are sure all of you do, we hope the negotiation process produces a satisfactory result for all parties involved. 

It will not affect the Two Ball Tournament on Sunday at this time.

A reminder that the special order t shirts are available for pickup in the hallway outside of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School canteen on game nights. We will also be set up for distribution at the Two Ball Tournament Sunday.

On a day when we wake up with snow in the forecast, we thought it would be good to remind everyone about how we handle winter weather cancellations. We will do our best to make an informed decision about whether or not we will cancel games on any given night before 2 pm, and we will communicate that through our web site, Facebook page and our Twitter account. We encourage you to follow us on those platforms if you are not already. There are times when the decision is taken out of our hands, for example if the school board closes schools and cancels all Community Use Activities. Bus cancellations does not mean we may not play later in the day.

In most cases, the decision whether or not to come out to games is a personal, family decision. As we all know, the weather in our region can vary considerably, and we will always encourage you to make a cautious decision. While basketball is important to us all, there will always be another week to play it.

As we enter into the winter months, from time to time players will forget their basketball shoes at home when they come to games. There is no need to panic if this happens. We have a selection of donated shoes for use available thnks to the generosity of league parents. Just see the game night convenors and we will do our best to make sure you don’t miss playing time or need to make an extra trip home.
