Last night the RCHA Club- Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Brigade Association – hosted the second annual fund raising event in support of the Pete Petersen Basketball League and it was a HUGE success! The event sold out, and those in attendance were not disappointed. The band Hat Trick – Michael K Myers, Dan Charbonneau and Mark Ready- performed music from the British Invasion, and from the first song through the last, the dance floor was full and those not dancing were singing along and dancing in their seats!

Our profound thanks to Frank Warnica and the executive leadership at the RCHA for believing in what we do for the children in the community and for their commitment to being a venue that recognizes local musical groups, and provides a great place for the public to be able to enjoy a night out.

Our thanks too to the band for their high energy performance all evening, and to the bar staff for their outstanding work serving and bussing tables all night.

Our thanks as well to Pasta Genova and Chez Piggy for their donations of door pries and to the private individuals that also donated prizes for the event.

The total raised last night for the league from ticket sales and donations throughout the evening was $1770. Thank you all for making a difference in the lives of our players and their families!!

This is a chance to hear live music from the band Hat Trick, as they take us through music from the British Invasion from 8-11 pm. Hear music from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Kinks and more while you enjoy an evening out with friends and make a difference in the lives of our players at the same time. There is dance floor as well at the club. All proceeds from Ticket Sales will come back to the Pete Petersen Basketball League.

Tickets are $15 and are available by either stopping in at the RCHA Club in person or by calling them at 613 542 8152 after 4 pm to pay by credit card. The RCHA Club Kingston – The Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Brigade Association is committed to bringing local bands in to perform and this is a chance for you to see one of Kingston’s best kept secrets for live music. Coach Kevin Smart and the St. Lawrence College Surge Men’s Basketball Team are hosting two free “Skills and Drills” clinics for our players on Saturday November 11. The first session for our Little Gals and Little Guys players will be from 6-7 pm, followed by a second one hour session for our Biddy, Girls and Graduate Division players starting at 7:30. Since space is limited to 30 players per session we will ask that you register through Facebook messenger to hold your spot.

Access to the gym is best through door E 39, accessed off Country Club Drive. Parking is also available in this area.

Our thanks to coach Smart and his players for taking the time to work with our players to improve their skills and introduce themselves to our players again this year. This is a partnership that we value and will never take for granted.
