The Sneaker Draw was a sell out again this year, with $1000 coming into the league that can be used to buy equipment for our program. Our thanks to the people and businesses that donated prizes for the event – you are making a difference in the lives of children in our community.

On Friday November 20, St. Lawrence College and the men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted the Pete Petersen Basketball League families for a barbeque and an evening of exciting basketball that people are still talking about. The Vikings won both games against the Centennial College Colts, and won over many fans from our program with their play. This is just the latest example of the long partnership that exists between the college and our league, and it is a partnership that we are proud to be a part of. Our thanks to Charlie Mignault and the athletics department staff for organizing the event, and to St. Lawrence College President and CEO Glenn Vollebregt for taking time away from his family to demonstrate his skill on the grill again this year. The “Dine to Donate” event Tuesday night at Five Guys Burgers and Fries downtown was a huge success! Our thanks to the entire staff at Five Guys for their support in making this evening go smoothly, and especially for their support of our community. The service was prompt, the staff friendly and professional, the restaurant was clean and best of all, the food was delicious! Our thanks too, to the league families and the general public that stopped in to support our basketball league. We will post the total raised once we receive word from Five Guys. If you ordered clothing from us – t shirts, hoodies and golf shirts – they are now in and available for pick up on your game nights. We also have limited quantities of long sleeved t shirts and a couple of golf shirts left too for general purchase. WE WILL NOT BE PLACING ANOTHER ORDER THIS SEASON.
