We recieved word late yesterday from Troy Gadbois about the results of the Dine and Make a Difference Fund Raising Event at The Pilot House November 9. $223 was donated by customers and staff throughout the day, $148 was donated through the $1 from every meal sold, and the owners have agreed to “top up” the donation to $500 for the league!!

Thank you to all of the people that participated in supporting this event, and a HUGE THANK YOU to the owners and staff for their friendly support throughout the day, for suggesting the event, promoting the event, but most of all for believing in what we are doing with the league.

The Pilot House describes themselves as “Your friendly Neighbourhood Pub”. They are all of that and so much more in their commitment to the community. Remember them when you want GREAT fish and chips, or when you just want a friendly place to relax.

There are still a few clothing items that will be available for general sale as well at the same time. We will not be ordering any more clothing this season. Thanks for your support in making this a very good year for clothing sales, and thanks to George Merjevac and the staff at Acme Sports and Promotions for their support in having our orders ready promptly and professionally!

The Dine and Make A Difference event is TODAY at The Pilot House. From 11 am until 9 pm $1 from every meal, including Take Out Orders, will be donated back to the league. On a day when we can all use some comfort food, there is no better place to get that than at The Pilot House. See you there!
